Learn Piano Technique
Piano technique is a key part of our piano lessons together, and enables you to express yourself in the music you play. We move through a wide variety of piano exercises - each written by me to help you grow in a particular way. These have lovely melodies, just like songs, and are really enjoyable. You’ll feel the focus as you repeat them - finding coordination and strength.

Learn Music Theory
We add in elements of music theory along the way, always keeping it relevant to the songs you’re playing on the piano. You’ll begin to understand how music works - or enhance the knowledge you already have. Super keen? Schedule a Just Theory session to go in depth on a topic. It’s really interesting, and you’ll grow your ability to learn or create piano music on your own!
Learn Songs
The main focus of our lessons together! Have a song you’ve always wanted to learn? Let’s play it on the piano! Or I can recommend songs based on the styles you love - whether that’s classical, contemporary or anything in between. You can also try out a Piano Chill Original written by me. Whatever piano music you choose, I’ll arrange it just for you so that it sounds great and you feel confident playing it. It’s never “one size fits all”.

Hi, I’m Lauren Carey Kevin - a Sydney pianist and piano teacher specialising in online piano lessons for adults just like you. I’m so glad you’re here!
My piano teaching philosophy is to meet you where you’re at, sharing my extensive piano knowledge so that you have everything you need to grow. Whatever the style, I believe in teaching you how to “really play” the piano - independently of me. But we don’t take ourselves too seriously either! Find a happy balance here.
